Limitations

Some page types come out badly today. Check this list before choosing Analog for a task:

• Restaurant menus. Output can come out garbled or oddly split.
• Discussion threads (Hacker News comments, forums, Reddit). Nested replies extract poorly, and tables inside posts can garble.
• Table-like layouts on some sites. A section that reads as a table on screen can occasionally extract garbled.
• Social feeds and walls. Records can come out ragged, with uneven fields from item to item.
• Very long feeds. Only part of a very long feed may be captured; the result says how far it got.

Two things that are not on this list: pages that block automated visitors (Analog reports the block as the result; see Privacy & security), and JS-heavy pages (the built-in browser renders them by default).

All of these are known and being worked on, in an order that follows demand — so reports move the queue: analog feedback quality <url> --reason <label>. Known-issue reports still count.
